Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing the right baseball program is a big decision. Here is everything you need to know about our evaluations, practices, coaching, and philosophy.

1. Evaluations & Placement

Your child will complete a friendly, low-pressure workout that measures the core skills needed for smart placement and long-term development. We track throwing velocity, command accuracy, fielding, speed (90ft & 40yd dash), rotational power, max throw distance, and baseball instincts. Evaluations are free and take about 20–30 minutes.

We use the results to identify your player’s strengths, highlight development opportunities, determine which team best fits their level, and track progress over time. Every parent receives a full written report.

No. Parents regularly tell us it was the most relaxed evaluation they’ve ever attended. The goal isn’t to “judge” your child — it’s to understand where they’re at so we can help them grow.

Great! This program was designed specifically for players who need fundamentals, reps, and structured coaching. Many of our most successful players started with little to no experience.

Just a glove, athletic clothes, and water. A bat is optional (we have them available). We handle everything else.

Most reports are delivered within 24–72 hours.

If we have a team that matches your player’s skill level and age group, yes. If not, we will recommend a development plan and invite the player to practices to work with them until they are ready for team placement. We never place a child on a team where they will struggle.

2. Practices & Scheduling

We offer practices five days a week, Monday–Friday. Players can choose packages for 2, 3, 4, or Unlimited practices per week.

Most sessions are 90 minutes.

Yes. Parents love our flexibility. You can choose any days that work for your schedule, week to week.

Practice times vary but typically fall in late afternoon or early evening. We intentionally keep options wide for busy families.

Most are outdoors at our primary Scottsdale/Phoenix locations, with additional indoor work as needed for development days.

Yes. We regularly run sessions for infield, outfield, catching, pitching mechanics, hitting fundamentals, and speed/conditioning. This is a core differentiator of our program.

3. Teams, Levels & Player Movement

We currently offer 8U, 10U Minors, 10U Majors, 12U Majors, 13U AA, 13U AAA, and 14U (team formation depends on evaluations).

Placement is based on evaluation results, on-field instincts, maturity, and ability to compete. We place players where they will improve fastest — not just where a parent hopes they will play.

Yes. This is one of the biggest benefits of having multiple teams at each age group. If a player is outperforming, they can move up. If a player is overwhelmed, we adjust to ensure confidence and reps continue.

We aim for rosters that ensure high reps and active playing time. We avoid large, overloaded rosters where kids get lost.

Yes, our teams compete in USSSA, Perfect Game, and Showcase events. However, we never sacrifice long-term development for short-term wins.

4. Coaching & Development

Our coaching focuses on teaching correct mechanics, positive reinforcement, high repetition, and data-driven progress. Parents often tell us this is the first program where their child “actually learned the right way.”

Not at all. We coach every level — beginners, intermediate, advanced, and multi-sport athletes. Development is personalized.

Yes. Pitching is one of our core development focuses. We teach mechanics, balance, release point consistency, hip/shoulder separation, arm care, and velocity development.

Yes. All players have tracked development metrics, and metrics are reviewed throughout the season.

5. Pricing, Membership & Commitments

We offer four pricing tiers:
  • $175 — 2 practices per week
  • $250 — 3 practices per week
  • $325 — 4 practices per week
  • $500 — Unlimited weekly practices
This includes team placement (when available), coaching, and development.

No long-term contract is required. We are commitment-friendly for families.

Typical additional costs include a uniform package, tournament entry fees (varies by age/schedule) or club league fees which vary by age, and personal gear (gloves, cleats, bats, etc.).

6. Tournaments & Game Schedule

8U–10U: If they are on a tournament team, 1–2 tournaments per month.
12U–14U: 1–2 tournaments per month, sometimes more for competitive teams.

It is possible for older age groups (13U–14U) and Majors-level teams. We don’t force travel for families who don’t want it.

7. Equipment & Uniforms

Standard Required: Glove, Bat, Helmet, Cleats, Sunglasses, Baseball Hat, Baseball Pants, Water Bottle.
Wild Thing Required Training Gear: Pancake Glove, Jbands, protective gear (cup), batting gloves, Sleeves.

Yes. We have a full uniform package that includes Jersey(s) and Hat(s) and optional add-ons. Our brand colors are White, Blue, and Red.

8. Parent Expectations

We use email, team chat groups, in-person updates, evaluation reports, and weekly practice schedules. Communication is clear and consistent. Currently we also use GameChanger.

Volunteering is not required. We handle training and coaching, as well as rosters and lineups for games. But we do need a volunteer for each team to record stats and to keep the costs as low as possible for team, at least three parents to Volunteer for games. If a team is unable to have parent volunteer that is ok, there will just be an additional fee to have coaches at scheduled games.

We ask parents to allow coaches to coach and cheer positively — no sideline instructions. There is a time for instruction and that is during practice.

9. Facilities & Locations

Our primary locations include fields in Scottsdale, North Phoenix, North Glendale, and Peoria. Exact fields vary by day and age group.

We do not have a single dedicated indoor facility that families are charged for. It is one of the reasons we can keep prices so low. However, from time to time we do utilize indoor locations as needed for hitting, conditioning, and position-specific development.

10. General Questions

Yes. Many kids in our program play football, basketball, soccer, or track. Our flexible schedule makes this possible.

We do not “cut” players who are actively showing effort and attending practices. Our job is to develop them. However, if a player or family is becoming a negative influence on the team or organization we do have the right to "cut" players at any time.

Parents consistently mention our flexible schedule (practice 5 days a week), affordable professional coaching, multiple teams per age group, stat-based evaluations, and our focus on teaching fundamentals the right way in a positive environment.
